CONTAINERS

From time to time I will edit this introduction. My work will serve as a diary.

The continuity of life that persisted for centuries has now been torn asunder, the myths exploded, yet those things never to be known but recognized as present or required come to us in dreams and the acts of life.   Understandings that were once common have been lost or ignored due to the constraints of today’s demands, and new psychology has been birthed to deal with this world.

The genesis of the art is to be found in works before 2000 and then expanded further with https://rationalmechanisms.com/, particularly the definitions – containers: any given constraint on flow., constraint: any given embrace., context: the conditional shape of flow., and, value: any flow within a given flow.

The temporal and the spiritual are on opposite ends of the beam, and both must be considered when placing the fulcrum to create a simple machine that determines mankind’s trajectory in avoiding tensions and inner pressures. Every effort must be made to prevent virtue from becoming a vice whereby vice becomes a necessity.

The great majority of the containers have words, signs, and symbols placed on them offering a tangible figuration for meditating on the unknown aspects of the issues at hand. Though in the everyday world the relationship between language and actions is paramount there is a human cost associated with the denial that there is a relationship between language and reality. The definition is not meaning, it’s the sound of the word that gives meaning, for words, signs, and symbols are loaded with hidden meanings with the result that they are a metaphor, and finally, they are simple myths. Containers within containers.

The stones or steel balls within represent that which is imaginable and brought to life through personal effort – action is a confession of faith.  That personal action fuses the metaphorical – the lever. 

Color is a metaphor; color has a reputation that expresses the external aspect of things. Colors combined, express the internal aspect of things, give direction; express things, not as objects but as personalities, and to have personality, the character comes to the fore.

Every experience implements a lever

Art and the artist demand nothing, however, art that is alive is naked, and artist and art wait with delightful anticipation as arts’ unforeseen secrets are revealed by the recipient.
